South Shore Clean Cities Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and revitalize Northern Indiana by promoting the use of clean fuels and clean vehicle technologies, will host its second annual Clean Air Golf Outing later in the month.
The event will take place Thursday, Sept. 25 at Youche Country Club, 2301 W. 129th Place, Crown Point, Ind. Check in begins at 11 a.m. CDT and is followed by lunch before the 12 p.m. shotgun start. The event concludes with dinner at 5 p.m. CDT.
The golf outing is limited to the first 144 golfers. Non-golfers can attend dinner, but must be preregistered. Register at http://www.southshorecleancities.org or 219-644-3690. Cost is $100 per golfer. Dinner is $20 for non-golfers. Golfers have the opportunity to shoot a hole-in-one during the event and possibly win a vehicle from Lake Shore Ford Toyota. Kauffman Chiropractic will offer free massages between 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
"The Clean Air Golf Outing provides an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors at the beautiful Youche Country Club and to network with professionals throughout Northwest Indiana," said Carl Lisek, South Shore Clean Cities executive director. "The funds raised through the event will help South Shore Clean Cities create a brighter future for Northern Indiana by helping municipal and industry leaders incorporate green technology and alternative fuel in their everyday operations."
