Value, certainty and opportunities are three key components that John Jordan built his company on, unfolding these concepts to both employees and clients. When he first started CertaPro painters six years ago, he wanted to change the impression of the painting industry and create opportunities for employees while instilling customer confidence in their services.
“Painting companies are a lot of times a fragmented industry, and the outside outlook can sometimes be negative.” Jordan said. “I wanted to focus on creating a system that allows for improvement along with respecting each individual,” he said.
Contracted services can often be a taboo topic for community members in general; many providers are unpredictable or unreliable.
“I want to make sure that customers can depend on our company for certainty,” Jordan said.
He strives to support the CertaPro staff as they carry out the company’s mission. Contracted painting work can be tedious, but Jordan said the key to any good worker is to love what they do and take pride in their work.
“At the end of each work day, the employees always do a pride walk, where they show off their work in confidence,” Jordan said.
There seems to be a direct correlation between the CertaPro painters’ dedication, and customer satisfaction, because the company has grown at least 20 percent in the last year.
Jordan hopes to continue to broaden the area they serve, and increase market share.
“We are expanding state wide alongside La Porte, South Bend, Indy, Chicago, and Mishawka. But our main focus is to own our backyard first,” Jordan said.
Before owning CertaPro, Jordan worked for his three-generation family security business, getting to know details of running a business.
CertaPro offers top quality service that the NWI community cannot get anywhere else. Their foundation lies in Jordan and his team creating opportunities for staff growth, allowing catch points if something does goes wrong, and learning from those experiences.
“I would like to be seen as a business owner that I can take care of my people and my workers, take care of my customers, and create great service.” Jordan said.
