Highland Hosts Lowell at Homecoming Game

It was a special night at Highland High School. Not only was it the nigh that the Trojans versus the Lowell High School Red Devils, but it was also the 2014 Homecoming. and the halftime segment was dedicated to the Court and the crowning of this year's Homecoming King and Queen. 

 The court was dressed in their finest as they walked out in front of the crowd at the stadium. The light sparked on the dresses that adorned the ladies and cheers went up at the announcement of each candidate.

Finally, the Homecoming King and Queen were announced. Amarius "Franky" Franklin was crowned Kind and Haylie Baker was crowned queen. How do our newfound royals feel about the honor bestowed upon them?

"It feels good. I never thought I would win," an astonished Franklin said.

"This is exciting and I'm so shocked that I won," Baker said. "This was special because I was part of this with best friend since the first grade and I was friends with everyone on the court."

Despite the fun of Homecoming, the night ended with in favor of Lowell. Though the Trojans fought hard, the Red Devils fought harder and won 45-14.
