Woodring-Newest-Recruit-to-Join-CCSJ-Womens-Golf-ProgramAs preparations roll forward toward the 2018-19 season, the Crimson Wave women's golf program has another addition that will be hitting the links with them come the fall. Head coach Tim McGee announced today that Summer Woodring will be joining the team for the upcoming school year. Woodring, a native of Muskegon, Mich., was a member of the golf program during her time at Fruitport High School, playing on the varsity squad each season.

Summer collected several varsity letters while in attendance, was named most improved golfer during her freshman campaign, and won the coaches choice award in 2017. The daughter of Jayme and Tonya, Summer plans on studying forensic biotechnology while at Calumet College of St. Joseph.

"Summer is an exceptional student and an accomplished golfer who will be a huge asset not only to our team, but to CCSJ as a student," said McGee when asked about the newest member of his roster. "We are very fortunate to have her, and can't wait to see what she does on the course over the next four years."
