Dunder Mifflin Takes Over the U.S Steel Yard for RailCat’s “Office Wednesdays”

Railcats fans know that a day at the U.S Steel Yard always brings much more than a quality baseball game. From fireworks and autographs to Taco Tuesdays, something exciting is always happening be it on, or off the field. This year, the Railcats are celebrating a legendary workplace comedy with “The Office” Wednesdays, featuring “The Office” themed games, contests, jerseys, and more.

The ‘Cats are off to a strong start this season, going 9-6, and are looking to take the division lead in their series against defending Winnipeg Goldeyes. Wednesday’s game will be the first “The Office” day, but it will also be Wine Wednesday, with $4 Barefoot Wine and Barefoot Refresh Spritzers, and Pretzel Day with $2.50 Bavarian Pretzels.

Every Wednesday home game is an “Office Wednesday” this season. The headlining activity of the event is the season-long auction for the team’s brand new “Dwight Schrute” themed jersey. Patterned in honor of the character’s iconic mustard-colored dress shirt and brown suit jacket combo, the team will sign it so ‘Cats fans can show their dedication to independent baseball and the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company with one piece of gear.

Proceeds generated by the jersey auction will be donated to charity. Later in the season, the RailCats will host an essay contest where fans can nominate their charity of choice to receive the auction funds.

The ‘Cats have a ton of “Office” themed games and events on the docket. The concessions team are cooking up bacon specials and hosting a hot dog eating contest, with the winner being crowned Regional Manager. RailCats players will be honored with a live Dundies Award ceremony, and Michael Scarn will be hunting down Goldenface in a “Threat Level Midnight” style mystery game.

RailCats baseball is always affordable, but the team is offering fans a special ticket package good for all 10 “Office Wednesday” games, including their Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza, for just $36. Each ticket package includes a souvenir “The Office” themed punch card, and automatic entry to win one of the signed Dwight Schrute jerseys.

The RailCats are second to none in offering family-first entertainment and baseball action in the Region. Swing by the U.S. Steelyard during any Wednesday home game from now until August 15 to relive your favorite moments from “The Office,” and to cheer the ‘Cats on towards their fourth championship.
