IU Northwest to Host 2017 RedHawks Summer Basketball Camps

Indiana University Northwest and the Office of Athletics will host its 2017 RedHawks Summer Basketball Camps for Kids during two sessions in July.

Kids Camp: July 17-19
Kids Camp, for ages 6-12, is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., July 17-19 in the Savannah Center Gymnasium.

RedHawks Basketball Kids Camp provides an in-depth basketball experience emphasizing fundamentals and sportsmanship. Campers will learn directly from IU Northwest RedHawks varsity players and coaches that will direct and supervise the camp in order to help campers reach their full potential while enjoying a fun week of basketball on the IU Northwest campus. The camp format is designed for children of all levels and experience. Children are grouped by age and ability to ensure enriching competition.

Skills Camp: July 24-26
A Skills Camp, for ages 12-17, is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., July 24-26 in the Savannah Center Gymnasium.

The skills camp provides an in-depth basketball experience emphasizing fundamentals and skills development as campers seek to improve at either the middle school or high school level. Campers will learn directly from IU Northwest RedHawk varsity players and coaches that will direct and supervise the camp as each participant is instructed through a vast variety of skill development stations specifically focused on ball handling, passing, shooting and defensive techniques.

Registration is $60 per child and $50 for each additional child from the same family. Each camp participant will receive a RedHawks’ Camp T-shirt and a gift at the end of the week.

Reservations cannot be held until registration form has been submitted online and payment has been received. Space is limited; the camp has sold out each year since its inception in 2010.
