St. Mary’s 5th Graders Learn Valuable Lessons through Crown Point D.A.R.E. Program

St-Marys-5th-Graders-Learn-Valuable-Lessons-through-Crown-Point-DARE-Program_01On Tuesday, December 5th, 59 fifth grade students from St. Mary’s School in Crown Point graduated from the D.A.R.E. Program. They began this program in early fall with Sergeant Dave Benson from the Crown Point Police Department as their instructor. The students learned many valuable lessons about “saying no” to drugs, alcohol, and bullying from each of the 11 visits with Sergeant Benson.

All the students were excited and very enthusiastic throughout the program. The knowledge they gained from Sergeant Benson will help them to make good choices throughout their lives.
