Grief Support Group Presented by Unity Hospice
Mar 15 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM
Unity Hospice - Merrillville
Unity Hospice of Northwest Indiana will be offering a five-week grief support series which will provide attendees with strength, peace and, ultimately, recovery in their grieving journey. This group is open to the public and welcomes anyone experiencing grief from a recent loss.
Presented by Unity Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator Lisa Casimer, the meetings will take place at Unity Hospice’s local office at 8407 Virginia Street in Merrillville, and will be held every Thursday at 5:00 p.m. from Feb. 15 – March 15.
Topics will include, but are not limited to, common grief symptoms, different coping styles for different people, when will I feel better and more.
Grief is a normal, natural reaction to a loss of any kind – such as a loved one, a pet or a spouse. Many times, someone in mourning may not know where to turn. This grief series offers a therapeutic, compassionate and supportive environment for every individual crisis.
There is no commitment and walk-ins are welcomed. All support groups take place in a safe, non-judgmental setting.
For more information about this grief series, please contact Unity Hospice of Northwest Indiana at (219) 769-8648.
