Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Leads RCS to put Patients First

In the healthcare world, caring for patients and aiding them in becoming healthier and more independent is of the utmost importance. For Dr. Ahmed Mohamed of Residential Clinical Services, this is something that he takes very seriously as he runs the organization from day to day.

Serving as the administrator, he’s a doctor of physical therapy, something he knew he wanted to be from a young age. While he may not go out and work with the patients as frequently as he used to, he still spends plenty of time ensuring they are getting the best care from his staff.

“I always wanted to be in a profession where I could help people and you add that to a love for science and anatomy and the result was physical therapy,” explained Dr. Mohamed. “This is important because we are a continuum of care when someone gets hurt or they are getting sick.”

While RCS works hard to put patients first, it’s inspired by strong leadership from Dr. Mohamed. It isn’t hard to see the positive impact he has on the staff either, as everyone is willing to pass along a positive word about him and the organization as a whole.

“RCS is a great place to work and Dr. Ahmed is the best. He is so caring and he wants us to take care of our patients no matter what, and that's what we try to do, take care of patients,” explained Sue Ripley, therapy coordinator for RCS.

With someone so caring leading the charge, it’s no wonder that Residential Clinical Services is able to make such a positive impact in the lives of their patients. Donna Brandy, Director of Marketing for Residential Clinical Services, thoroughly enjoys the environment created by Dr. Mohamed and the focus he places on patients.

“I love the fact that our patients come first. I love the fact that Dr. Ahmed will take care of somebody that isn’t necessarily a patient of ours on service,” said Donna. “He thinks of them as people, not patients. He takes care of people's needs and I couldn’t ask for a better boss. He’s just a good-hearted person.”

Though they already provide wonderful care for patients, Dr. Mohamed and Residential Clinical Services are looking toward the future and the additional care they can provide. To further their continuum of care, they’re looking to open a hospice center to allow their patients greater comfort in their final days.

“Our company is planning to start a hospice care center,” explained Mohamed. “Currently, we provide what we call palliative care, which provides some comfort and helps with people who are terminally ill. But sometimes we have to discharge these patients to hospice and we believe if you have the same people who have been taking care of you, you build a relationship with them.”

Looking into Residential Clinical services it’s easy to see that their love and level of care for patients is exceptional. With Dr. Mohamed leading the way, and dedicated staff constantly putting patients first, it’s no wonder that RCS continues to provide personalized care for their patients.
