Methodist Hospitals will open an Immediate Care facility on July 5, 2016, Methodist CareFirst, at 1275 East North Avenue in Crown Point, on the campus of the Crown Point Sportsplex. This new facility is the first of three planned immediate care centers that will bring a new source for convenient and cost-effective care to our communities. Additional CareFirst locations will open in Merrillville and Gary in the near future.
CareFirst will treat a wide variety of common illnesses and minor injuries, such as colds, flu and fevers, respiratory and urinary tract infections, fractures, sprains and strains, earaches, diarrhea and food poisoning. Lab tests and x-rays will also be available at CareFirst in Crown Point.
CareFirst will be open evenings and weekends to provide an alternative to the emergency room at times when primary care physicians are not open. To contact the facility you may call 219-663-2793.
