We're settling into March now, and St Patty's Day shall soon be here! This weekend there is much to do from trivia nights to parades, movies, shows, bowling, and more! Check out all the fun things to do in Northwest Indiana this weekend!

March 16: Rittenhouse Senior Living of Portage Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner - Portage, IN
Join in the St. Patrick’s day fun at Rittenhouse Village At Portage’s Annual Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner. Wear your favorite green outfit and take fun pictures in our holiday-themed photo booth, also join in the festive atmosphere by dancing to traditional Irish jigs! Be sure to come hungry as well, to indulge in the traditional Irish feast of Corned Beef & Cabbage.

Ribbon cutting with joined Chambers - Duneland and Michigan City at 4:30 pm. Be among the first to find out about the new services and tour our second location!

March 16: Triviafest 2018 at St. Joe Club - Michigan City, IN 
Attention, Trivia Buffs and Music Lovers! "Triviafest 2018" will take place at the St. Joe Club in Michigan City (2001 Franklin Street) on Friday, March 16. Doors open at 6:00pm and trivia begins at 7:00pm. There will be food and drinks for sale, and the event will feature several prize drawings and raffles. Triviafest is hosted by local trivia master Mark Kline, and proceeds will benefit the Michigan City High School Marching Band. Teams of 8-10 are encouraged. March 17: Chesterton Middle School Comedy Show - Chesterton, IN 
This sketch comedy goes through 30 horrors and hardships that can befall anyone who feels the need to be on stage: stage kisses, pinkeye, crazy directors, and even inciting World War III. In its series of hilarious examples, this play proves that drama can be a very dangerous thing and must be avoided at all costs.

March 17: Crown Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Crown Point, IN
Mayor Uran’s Office of Special Events is planning for the biggest event of the year on March 17, 2018. The 11th annual nighttime St. Patrick’s Day Parade will commence at dusk featuring emergency vehicles, lit entries, Lake County Pipes and Drums, Grand Marshall Mayor David D. F. Uran, the Junior Grand Marshall Event Logo Contest Winner and much more!

March 18: Shamrock Shootout and Family Fun Bowl - Valparaiso, IN 
The tournament has been a high scoring bowling event, with multiple chances to cash, including side games, strike shots, and bracket challenges. The family fun includes 3 games of bowling, rental shoes if needed, and a fun atmosphere for all ages and experience. 

March 18: Portage Township Live Entertainment Association Presents: "South Shore Orchestra" - Portage, IN 
Truly a one-of-a-kind symphonic treat, the popular South Shore Orchestra (SSO) will perform on Sunday, March 18th, 3:00 p.m., at Portage High School East Auditorium! This live music concert is presented by Portage Township Live Entertainment Association (PTLEA), now in its 29th season of bringing quality live entertainment to the greater Portage, Indiana area.

March 18: Purdue University Northwest and Michigan City Public Library Present Free Screening of, “Marshall" - Michigan City, IN 
The 2017 film, “Marshall” will be presented at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 18 at the Michigan City Library, 100 E. Fourth St., Michigan City, through a collaboration between the Purdue University Northwest Odyssey Arts and Cultural Events Series and the Michigan City Public Library. The screening is free and open to the public. “Marshall” is a 2017 film drama about Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court Justice and focuses on one of the first cases of his career. The film is rated PG-13.
