From Mayor to Maintenance Worker: Karen Freeman-Wilson to Appear on CBS’ Undercover Boss

Donning a wig and work clothes, Karen Freeman Wilson, the Mayor of the City of Gary, went undercover to meet the community members working to make the Lake County hometown a thriving place once more.

Hiding behind the persona of a sanitation employee, a firefighter, police officer, and a beach maintenance worker, Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson, becomes an Undercover Boss, for the CBS Television Network Show. As Freeman-Wilson tackles the everyday tasks alongside her Gary city employees, what she finds may shock her as well as her workers.

Mayor Freeman-Wilson took over the city in 2011, after having held former positions as a judge and Indiana Attorney general.

She will appear during the second half of the two-hour long eighth season premier of Undercover Boss, which will air Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016 from 8/7 CST.
