Ludacris to Perform at City of Hammond’s 2016 Festival of the Lakes on 7/23

City of Hammond Mayor, Thomas McDermott Jr., announced today that Grammy Award winning Hip Hop Artist, Ludacris, will headline the 2016 Festival of the Lakes Concert Series Main Stage on 7/23.

"It's official!," McDermott tweeted today. "Hammond's Festival of the Lakes Main Stage Act, Saturday 7/23/16, LUDACRIS!"

Ludacris, born in Illinois before moving to Atlanta at age nine, is known for his prolific longevity in hip hop since his platinum-selling breakout album ‘Word of Mouf’ released in 2001 which featured four hit singles.

Since that time Ludacris has gone on to produce six more albums in addition to his acting career which has landed Luda in roles in ‘The Fast and the Furious’, ‘Law and Order SVU’, and others.

Ludacris’ bass-driven southern beats, along with his energetic and eclectic performing style has gained the artist acclaim for his live sets.
