Indiana Premiere “The Perfect Wedding” at the Towle Theater

Towle-Perfect-Wedding-2015The Towle Theater closes its 2015 Subscription Season with the Indiana Premiere of Robin Howdon’s British Farce Perfect Wedding with generous support from our 2015 Season Sponsor Accucraft Imaging and exclusive show sponsors Vanis Salon and Day Spa and Albert’s Diamond Jewelers. The comedy is under the direction of Mark Baer, who is returning after his successful Towle directorial debut of The Nightmare Room last year.

An appalling situation; a bridegroom wakes on his wedding morning in his own bridal suite, with his bride-to-be about to arrive any moment, and finds a strange girl in bed beside him. What's more, an extremely attractive girl whom, in the depths of his post stag-night hangover, he can't remotely remember even having been introduced to. Worse - during the ensuing panic to get the stranger dressed and out of the way, the bride arrives and the girl is trapped in the bathroom. The only way out of the dilemma is to persuade the best man to pretend that the hidden girl is his girl friend. Then the problem is that the best man’s real girl friend has to be kept ignorant of the fact. By the time the bride's parents and half the hotel staff get in on the act, the chaos reaches nuclear proportions!

The Towle welcomes back Ian Rigg (Orland Park, IL) as the Groom to Be and Lauren Knutson (Chicago) as the maid. Audiences may remember Ian and Lauren from last summer’s production of From Up Here. The Towle is please to have newcomers Jerico Bleu (Chicago) as the Best Man, Stephanie Rohr (Chicago) as the Bride to Be, Rachel Silvert (Chicago) as the Woman and Linda Roberts (Burr Ridge, IL) as the overbearing Mother of the Bride.

Performances for Perfect Wedding are September 11-13, 18-20, 24-27. Thursday through Saturdays the production will begin at 8pm and on Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are only $17.
