Since 2010, the Towle Youth Theater Ensemble, or TYTE, has been wowing NWI audiences with productions such as the Northwest Indiana Premiere of Jason Robert Brown’s 13, Anne of Green Gables, Laughing Stock & Clue the Musical. The next TYTE production will be 2 one acts War at Home – a drama and It’s not you, It’s Me - a comedy. The shows will run March 27-19, April 3-4.
Auditions are Saturday, January 17 from10am-4pm and Sunday, January 18 from 12pm-4pm (Appointments scheduled every 10 minutes) Please call 219-937-8780 to schedule an appointment. Auditions will take place at the Towle Theater; 5205 Hohman Avenue, Hammond IN. Please prepare a one-minute memorized monologue. Dramatic or comedic depending on which show you are more drawn to. You will be asked to read from the script. The script cuttings for auditions can be found at www.towletheater.org. Keep in mind, auditioning is similar to interviewing for a job. Please dress nicely, arrive well rested and 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition.
Students from all over NW Indiana and Southern suburbs of Chicago are strongly encouraged to audition. Those who audition and don’t make the cast or anyone interested in off-stage/back-stage involvement will work on small committees for the show including box office, tech and PR/marketing.
