Indiana Premiere at the Towle Theater

Towle-Play-Dates-01The Towle Theater continues its season of premieres with the Indiana Premiere of Sam Wolfson’s Play Dates with generous support from our 2014 Season Sponsor Accucraft Imaging. Sam Wolfson was the Co-Writer of Jewtopia, the smash hit from the Towle Theater’s 2013 Season. Jewtopia was under the direction of Marty Grubbs, a NW Indiana Native. Because of the great success and collaboration, the Towle invited Marty back to direct Play Dates.

Play Dates is a play all about love, falling in, falling out and everything in between. From the childhood innocence of your first everlasting crush, to the challenge of trying to keep the spark alive after five years of marriage, to the tortuous single years in between when you think you'll never find anybody, Play Dates hilariously reminds us that love is never easy...and kindergarten is just the beginning.

The Towle welcomes back Ian Rigg (Orland Park, IL) and Sarah Mergener (Chicago). Audiences may remember Ian and Sarah from Adrift in Macao. Newcomers Keith Cavanaugh (Chicago) and Amy Gorelow (Chicago) complete the cast.

Towle-Play-Dates-02Performances for Play Dates are September 5-7, 12-14, 18-21. Thursday through Saturdays the production will begin at 8pm and on Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are only $17. Thursday, September 18th is Industry Night; anyone who provides proof of their work in a theater production will receive a buy-one-get-one free ticket.
