Experience Fall Family Fun for All to Enjoy in Whiting during October 2015

rot6Visit the City of Whiting the entire month of October to enjoy Halloween family fun. From the first ever Wickedly Whiting Festival to the simple joys of fresh pumpkins and fall mums, Whiting is celebrating Halloween tricks and treats all October long.

Kicking off the festivities on October 10th, is the very first Wickedly Whiting Festival in Historic Downtown Whiting. The Whiting-Robertsdale Chamber of Commerce has planned an entire day, lasting from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., full of zombie scares, festival food, kid and adult contests, a beer garden and much more. Visit www.whitingoktoberfest.com if you dare to know more of the wicked details.

Later this month, partake in the opportunity to meet historian, parapsychology enthusiast, and host of PBS series “The Hauntings of Chicago”, Ursula Bielski, at the Whiting Public Library. Having been featured in numerous television documentaries including those on A&E, The History Channel, and The Learning Channel, Bielski will share tales of her paranormal investigations and Chicago hauntings with all who attend. The program will take place October 24th at 2:00 p.m. and preregistration is required through Whiting Public Library. Also taking place at the end of the month is the annual FOP Haunted Hayride. Head to Whihala Beach from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on October 23rd, 24th, 30th, and of course, Halloween night, for a trip along the creepiest Lake Michigan trail, pumpkin and cookie decorating, s’mores, classic Halloween movie showings and more!
