Superhero Soiree – an Inaugural Fundraising Event for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana

Attendees will be fighting hunger in northwest Indiana on May 7th at 6pm

food-bank-nwi-soireeThe Food Bank of Northwest Indiana is excited to announce the date for the inaugural fundraising event, Superhero Soiree is May 7th at 6pm at the Banquets at the Croatian Center in Merrillville, Indiana. There will be no crime fighting this night, but fighting hunger in the community.

Tickets are on sale now at $60/person (a few discounted $50/person are still left). Tickets include entry, food and complimentary bar, sponsored by Miller/Coors, as well as live music, superhero photo booth, and silent auction. Auction items include, Indianapolis 500 tickets, sports tickets, golf outings, restaurant gift cards, Colts and Sox autographs, a meet and greet plus tickets for the upcoming Martina McBride concert and more!

All funds raised at the Superhero Soiree will provide nutritious meals to those in need and support hunger relief programs like BackPack, Pantry on the Go, Summer Food Service Program and the senior-focused CSFP (Commodity Service Food Program).

Each year, the Food Bank distributes more than 4 million meals to hungry men, women and children in Lake and Porter Counties. Through partnerships with member food pantries and soup kitchens as well as hunger-relief programs, the Food Bank is able to feed 15,000+ households a month.
