Join the City of Crown Point in Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the Only Nighttime Parade in the Area

City-of-Crown-PointMayor Uran’s Office of Special Events is planning for the biggest event of the year on March 17, 2015. The seventh annual nighttime St. Patrick’s Day Parade will commence at dusk featuring emergency vehicles, lit entries, Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums, Lake County Pipes and Drums, Grand Marshall Mayor David D. F. Uran, the Junior Grand Marshall Event Logo Contest Winner and much more.

Celebration festivities begin on the historic Crown Point Courthouse Square prior to the parade start at dusk. Vendors will be selling items on the South side of the Courthouse Square such as concessions, parade novelties, traditional Irish heritage items, jewelry, glow sticks and festive Irish themed items beginning at 3pm. The Corned beef and Cabbage dinner will take place at the Crown Point Fire Station from 3-6pm. Dinners are available for pre-purchase by calling 662-3290 and will also be available at the door.

The St. Baldrick’s fundraiser will also be taking place at the Fire Station in the ambulance bay from 3-7pm. Join Mayor Uran and The Crown Point Fire Department in their fundraising efforts and support a great cause. On-site registration is accepted.

The parade will commence during snow, rain or shine on S Main Street around the square.
