Indiana Mother Chapter of Buffalo Soldiers to host 2015 Mardi Gras Gala

NewSouthShoreCVA-logoThe Indiana Mother Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club will be hosting their annual Mardi Gras Gala at Avalon Manor, 3550 U.S. 30 in Merrillville, on Saturday, March 7.

Olivia Taylor, committee member, explained that the event serves as a fundraiser so the organization may give out scholarships, create food baskets and do work within the community. Event planners expect more than 150 attendees, with organization members coming from Indianapolis, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky.

The Mardi Gras Gala is from 6 p.m. to midnight and is open to the public. Tickets cost $65 per person and include a meet and greet event with the organization at Fairfield Inn & Suites, 8275 Georgia Street in Merrillville, on Friday, March 5, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. The gala will be Mardi Gras and masquerade themed. Tickets will be available at the door.

The Indiana Mother Chapter of Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club is a chapter of the National Association of the Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club, an organization that was established in 1993 to foster unity and fellowship among motorcyclists in the Chicago area. The club consists of professional men and women dedicated to the sport of motorcycle riding and safety, as well as educating the public about the accomplishments of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers.
