wheatfield-chamberThe Wheatfield Chamber of Commerce’s annual Sandhill Crane Festival and Car Show will take over downtown Wheatfield on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

According to Andy Boersma, president of the Wheatfield Chamber of Commerce, the event will offer attendees live entertainment, children’s activities, approximately 60 food and craft vendors, and numerous cars, trucks, motorcycles and more during the car show.

Registration for the car show begins at 7:00 a.m., and costs $15 per entry. The car show will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The first 100 registrants will receive a goodie bag filled with numerous giveaways, and more than 75 awards will be given out to car show participants beginning at 4:00 p.m. Spectator admission is free.

Live entertainment during the Sandhill Crane Festival and Car Show includes a DJ in the park, an Elvis impersonator, and Billy Wayne, an artist performing country and western music.

In 2013, the Sandhill Crane Festival and Car Show featured more than 150 different cars, trucks, motorcycles, antique cars, rat rods and more.

“It’s an all-around good place to spend a Saturday in a small community with your family,” said Boersma.
