The Duneland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 9th annual Party in the Park event on Saturday, August 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Duneland community tradition, this summer celebration will serve as the kick-off event for the 2014-2015 school year. Festivities will be held in Thomas Centennial Park in historic downtown Chesterton.
Party in the Park will feature a Community Potluck, in which wristband wearers can sample special dishes prepared by more than a dozen different Duneland area restaurants. DJ Gil Lewis of BlueStar Entertainment will host the evening’s music and dancing.
Bounce houses will be hosted by Road to Life Church, and additional children’s games and activities will be provided by local non-profit and Chamber member organizations.
