Humane Society Celebrating with Holiday Events

Humane-Society-Calumet-Area10 Dog Days of Halloween – Humane Society Calumet Area is celebrating the 10 Dog Days of Halloween from October 22-31. During this time, we are offering a $10 adoption fee on all large breed dogs over the age of 6-months old. All adoptions are pending application approval and a $25 Rabies Vaccine fee may apply. The shelter is located at 421 45th Street in Munster.

Pancake Breakfast – The Humane Society Calumet Area is hosting their annual AYCE Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, November 9h from 8am-1pm at the Bethel Church. The church is located at 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Road in Lansing. Tickets are $5 per person and available now at the Humane Society Calumet Area or at the door. We will also be selling various HSCA merchandise, such as t-shirts, car magnets, tumblers, and more. All proceeds of the breakfast will benefit the HSCA animals. Fresh Holiday Wreaths Fundraiser - The Humane Society Calumet Area is selling fresh wreaths for the holiday season. The proceeds of the sales will benefit the shelter. The wreaths are custom made from Scotch pine by Kingma Christmas Tree Farm, located in Demotte, Indiana. The wreaths are sprayed with a colorant and a solution called “needle hold” for needle retention. The wreaths can be purchased plain or decorated with natural pine cones and a velvet bow. Wreaths of various sizes are available as well as Garland (roping) and swags. All orders are due to the shelter by Wednesday, November 20th. Holiday Bazaar – The Humane Society Calumet Area is seeking arts and crafts donations for their annual Holiday Bazaar. The arts and crafts will be sold at the bazaar to help raise funds for the shelter. The Bazaar is scheduled for December 12-15 and will coincide with pictures with Santa at the shelter.
