Dillinger Museum to Participate in Free Museum Day

The John Dillinger Museum, located inside the Indiana Welcome Center, will be participating in Smithsonian magazine’s ninth annual Museum Day Live! event. Free admission will be offered to visitors with a Museum Day Live! ticket on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The museum takes visitors on an interactive, historical adventure through the life and times of John Dillinger and other gangsters of the 1930s depression era. Through the stories of the infamous gangsters, visitors will also learn of the rise of the FBI and advancements made in crime fighting technology.

Tickets for Museum Day Live! are available for download at www.smithsonian.com/museumday and will be accepted from smartphones. The Indiana Welcome Center will not limit the amount of tickets used per household. Visitors who are unable to print the Museum Day Live! ticket will still be granted free admission.
