Stories of the Dune: The Photography of David Larson at the Museum

westchester-photo-montageMeet Ogden Dunes photographer David Larson at the Westchester Township History Museum, 700 W. Porter Avenue, Chesterton, on Saturday, September 27, at 2 pm during Stories of the Dunes: The Photography of David Larson. Larson will share his stories of the pre-steel mill dunes. His images include Howling Hill and a dune that hides an old steam engine. He will also discuss the techniques and equipment he used. Refreshments will be served.

Larson’s photography of the Indiana Dunes provides an in-depth portrait of the area, capturing its very essence, from well-traveled spots to peaceful hidden treasures. His unique vantage points feature the changing nature of the landscape throughout the seasons and help one experience the Dunes through new eyes.

The Westchester Township History Museum is a free cultural and educational service of Westchester Public Library. The museum is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 1-5 p.m. or by appointment. Groups may make reservations for tours by calling the museum at 983-9715.
