Mara Wible will be teaching a variety of Tuesday night jewelry classes during the month of September at the Chesterton Art Center. All classes will be offered at 5:15 and at 7:00 p.m. The cost of each class is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. No previous experience is required, and all supplies will be included.
On September 2, Mara will teach a Fun Fringy Earring class, which will include (2) pairs of earrings. Students will learn how to string a variety of beads, making fun accessories for a special occasion or everyday wear. A Jewel Loom Pendant will be offered on September 16 for folks interested in learning how to use a jewel loom. (Only 5 spots are available per class.)
The Sassy Stick Earrings class will be held on September 23 for participants who would like to create a pair of fashion forward earrings using a cubic, right-angle weave. Mara will host a Persian Leaves Earrings class on September 31. Using a peyote stitch, students will make beautiful leaves that can be used as earrings or as a pendant on a necklace.
