2014 Lakefront Art Festival Submission Date Extended

rot4Lubeznik Center for the Arts has extended its deadline for artist's applications to April 18 for their 2014 Lakefront Arts Festival. Artists can submit their applications online by accessing our entry page: http://www.lubeznikcenter.org/Special_Events/entrythingy.html#show=1398

Artists should have prepared: 4 jpegs of their pieces, 1 jpeg of their display/booth, an artist statement, and a $60 entry fee by the new deadline April 18, and a summary of exhibitions/achievement. Artists who submitted their work prior to April 4 will be notified of the jury's decision by April 19, 2014. Artists who submit their application after April 4 will be notified of the jury's decision after April 19, at a date to be announced.

The 33th annual Lakefront Art Festival grounds are located in Michigan City's lakefront Washington Park and takes place August 16& 17, 2014. This high-quality juried event draws repeat and first time shoppers and art enthusiasts alike from Chicago, South Bend, Fort Wayne, as well as Michigan's nearby "Harbor Country" communities. A major fundraiser for Lubeznik Center for the Arts, the festival is overseen by arts professionals committed to making the event a success. Proceeds benefit LCA exhibits, outreach, and education.

Artists may submit their artwork in 5 distinctive categories; 2D Art (painting, drawing, printmaking, assemblage/collage,) fine craft (glass, ceramic, basketry,) photography, sculpture, and wearable art (jewelry, fiber art, leather.) Over $3,000 in Artist Awards will be given for the 2014 Lubeznik Center for the Arts Lakefront Art Festival.
