Snedecor has been the mayor for eleven years and has been an avid partner to the Hobart community for over 38 years, having served as the police chief for 4 and ½ years before jumping into his current role.

“I commend Sebo’s, because they really understand that investment into the community produces great results for everyone," stated Snedecor. "These are the types of events I love coming to because it shows the outreach into the community."

As residents and community members made their way into the center hall of Sebo’s, they were greeted with the warm and friendly smiles of the Sebo’s staff members. Everyone had the opportunity to purchase some raffle tickets to put their hat in the race for a gift basket and meet some new people before the breakfast started.

Regional Director of Business Development Kelly Petty began the breakfast by introducing herself and her partners.

“Today was a great day for camaraderie by showing our Hobart pride and getting the police department, fire department, and mayor to come in today to speak about current events and help to aid in answering questions,” said Petty. “I thought it was great to bring people together and make sure that they understood all of our programs we offer.”

Sebo’s offers many programs for the Hobart and surrounding community. Anyone in need of aid can receive short term rehabilitation, long term care, respite care, hospice care, as well as specialized memory support that works with a certified dementia practiconer on site.

As everyone finished eating their breakfast, Mayor Snedecor spoke to the audience, answered questions, and introduced the fire and police team members that joined the breakfast.

“I considered this event as something that is vitally important to my role as mayor. I think it is important to the people here for them to see that the city really considers this place and its people an important part of our community,” stated Snedecor.

This morning community members and residents alike enjoyed some good food and good conversations at Sebo's Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.

“Being able to hear about those successful projects and programs makes me so happy that, as Mayor, really being able to foster and direct those improvements can make a difference in someone’s life,” said Snedecor. “The end result is really what is most gratifying.”
