Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana Welcomes New Corporate Volunteer, Indiana American Water

Meals-on-Wheels-of-Northwest-Indiana-Welcomes-New-Corporate-Volunteer-Indiana-American-WaterMeals on Wheels welcomes our latest corporate volunteer group, Indiana American Water in Northwest Indiana. During our March for Meals campaign, a group of managers from Indiana American Water came to our location, toured our facility and helped deliver meals to our clients in the Miller area of Gary. Elizabeth Patz, Operations Supervisor for Indiana American Water, was so impressed with the experience, she offered to speak to her fellow managers about setting up a volunteer group. The Indiana American Water group has agreed to join us, has completed training, and will begin delivering meals in Miller on the June delivery calendar.

We welcome the opportunity to engage new corporate volunteer groups in order to complete our mission of delivering nutritious meals, a well-being check, and a friendly visit with our clients utilizing volunteers. We are grateful to Indiana American Water for their enthusiasm and support of our mission!

According to Joan Vith, Volunteer Manager, “volunteers make our mission statement come to life, we look forward to having new volunteer groups join us.”
