The Friends of the Crown Point Community Library recently held a “Meet the Friends” social hour at the Winfield Branch Library to familiarize themselves with staff and introduce themselves to the patrons. They handed out information about their organization, upcoming events, refreshments and children received Halloween treats bag filled with goodies.
Although the Friends meet monthly, on the second Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., at the Crown Point Library they are planning several more social hours at the Winfield Branch Library, in 2018, to continue to stay connected to both library communities they serve.
