Crown Point Accepting Applications for St. Patrick’s Day Parade Entries and Food Vendors

City-of-Crown-PointMayor Uran’s Office of Special Events is planning for the biggest event of the year. Friday, March 17, the city will host the tenth annual nighttime St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade will feature emergency vehicles, lit entries, Grand Marshall Mayor David D. F. Uran, the Junior Grand Marshall Event Logo Contest Winner and a large variety of food vendors.

Festivities will begin on the historic Crown Point Courthouse Square prior to the parade start at dusk. Vendors will be selling items on the south side of the Courthouse Square. In addition to tasty treats and delicious food, vendors will also be selling parade novelties and traditional Irish heritage themed items beginning at 5 p.m.

The parade will commence during snow, rain or shine on South Main Street and around the square. The Mayor’s Office of Special Events is now accepting applications for both parade entries, food vendors and vendors selling novelty items.
