Lake County Torch Bearer Reception to be Held on September 22nd

bicentennial-logoThirty Lake County Torch Bearers were selected to carry the ceremonious Torch through Lake County, Ind. in celebration of Indiana’s Bicentennial. The Torch Relay will take place in Lake County on October 9 and October 11.

The South Shore CVA, in conjunction with the exhibit, “200 Years Along the South Shore” will celebrate the 30 Torch Bearers with a casual reception at the Indiana Welcome Center on Sept 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and the reception is open to the public.

The exhibit features historical artifacts, newspaper articles, vehicles and photographs showcasing the South Shore’s history, progress and growth.
