Mayor Uran’s Office of Special Events is inviting Crown Point businesses to help transform the downtown into a St. Patrick’s Day experience in anticipation of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Participating businesses in the downtown historic district are invited to decorate their front display windows in the St. Patrick’s Day theme. All windows must be completed before the morning of Wednesday, March 11, for judging review. The window displays will receive points based on the exemplification of the St. Patrick’s Day theme, creative lighting and signage, use of the color green, and the creative use of business products and services.
First, second, and third place winners will be selected by our St. Patrick’s Day panel of judges and announced to the public during the parade on March 17. All entries are required to be available during the parade for the award presentation.
Businesses interested in participating in the 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Window Decorating Contest must contact the Mayor’s Office of Special Events at (219) 662-3290 by Friday, March 6.
