The East Side Community Council and the Hammond Police Community Affairs Department are joining forces for a "Celebration of Peace" to celebrate our youth.
In honor of our youth and their good deeds at the weekly ESCC Open Gym Night at the Hammond Civic Center, the Hammond Police Community Affairs Department will be presenting “Two Brand New Basketball Goals” to support the youth’s continued non-violence movement and to build stronger partnerships with community organizations.
Come out on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 Sohl Ave., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The ESCC Open Gym at the Hammond Civic Center has been going strong for three long years with absolutely no violence from our youth! Many said that, “It couldn't be done!” but our youth have proven them wrong. Hats off to our youth. They deserve to be commended and celebrated!
So let’s come out and celebrate all the good things that our youth and police department are doing in our city!
