First United Methodist Church and The City of Crown Point to host 2 9/11 Ceremonies at 7:30am and 7:30pm on September 11, 2014 at the Corner of South and Main St at the 9/11 Memorial. Services include music, prayer, brief reflection on the meaning of 9/11 for us Americans, the meaning of Patriots Day, and a proclamation by Mayor Uran. The Memorial Flag will be lowered to half-staff and participants will be offed the chance to place a small flag on the memorial.
The Lake Courthouse Foundation will also kick off Patriots week with a Fundraiser Brunch on 9/7/14 at 11:30 in the Courthouse Maki Ballroom. Those interested in purchasing tickets can contact the Lake Courthouse Foundation at 219-663-0660.
