Humane Society Calumet Area Launches Search for Next Mascot

Humane-Society-Calumet-AreaIs your pet a superstar? Enter your pet in Humane Society Calumet Area’s Cover Pet Contest 2015 for a chance to have your pet featured as the organization’s mascot for the year.

Submissions are accepted now through Feb. 4. To enter, email a photo of the pet and a short bio (two to three sentences) to info@hscalumet.org.

Chosen by public vote, HSCA’s mascot will receive a photo session with a local photographer, 8 to 10 digital copies of the photos from the session and his/her photos featured on the cover of HSCA’s “Speak!” magazine, website and various campaigns in 2015.

Feb. 9 through 23, the public will vote on three finalists and Feb. 25 through 28 the final winner will be chosen from the three finalists. The 2015 mascot will be announced Feb. 28 at HSCA's Hair of the Dog Gala at the Radisson at Star Plaza, 800 E 81st Ave, Merrillville, Ind.

One entry per household is requested. Owners and pets must be able to travel to Munster, Ind. for the photo shoot and the pet must be comfortable having a photo taken.
