Registration Still Open for 2014 Critter Camp

Humane-Society-Calumet-AreaRegistration is still open for Critter Camp, a summer day camp for kids hosted by Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA).

Held August 4 through 8, Critter Camp provides a fun, safe, hands-on environment for kids ages 8-12 to learn about various aspects of animal care and build a sense of respect and responsibility for animals. Camp takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at HSCA, 421 45th St, Munster.

Campers do a daily craft, enjoy a snack, make a camp t-shirt, and have interactive presentations about animals. Presentations include: a veterinarian, dog trainer, wildlife sanctuary, a pet therapy team, and more.

The registration fee is $100. Camp size is limited and spaces are filling up fast.

To register or for more information, please contact Jessica Petalas at jpetalas@hscalumet.org or 219.922.3811 ext. 308. For more information about HSCA, visit www.hscalumet.org.

About Humane Society Calumet Area
Founded by concerned citizen Miss Evelyn Sweitzer in 1941, Humane Society Calumet Area aims to lead the community in the humane treatment of animals by providing vital community services.
