Munster Med-Inn Invites Dr. Vineet P. Shah, DO. to Informative Dinner with the Doctor for Munster Community

The prospect of a major surgery can be intimidating; few know that better than the experts at Munster Med-Inn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. They work with post-surgery patients every day to help them get back on their feet and live a life that would not be possible without the advancements of modern surgery.

On Wednesday, Munster Med-Inn hosted what they called “Dinner with the Doctor”, where attendees engaged with Dr. Vineet P. Shah, DO., a leading orthopedic surgeon in the Region. He taught guests about the benefits of surgery, the process involved in different procedures, and how advancements are minimizing side-effects and shortening rehab time.

“The main idea here is to let people know what’s available in their community of Northwest Indiana,” Dr. Shah said. “People from this community don’t need to go to Chicago or Indianapolis to receive a high level of treatment.”

Dr. Shah worked his way through a presentation describing just how successful modern orthopedics are at getting patients back on their feet quickly and feeling better than ever. The prospect of a major surgery becomes less nerve-wracking when a leading expert talks with you personally over sliders.

“We know that a lot of us are going to need surgeries like this, we’re all human,” said Frank Bensema, Administrator of Munster Med-Inn. “We’re doing this here because we’re a facility that helps rehab people after these kinds of surgeries, and Dr. Shah is someone who really cares about his patients and people in general. That’s why he’s reaching out to inform folks.”

The main goal of Munster Med-Inn is to get patients back out as quickly as possible. A bright, state-of-the-art therapy gym, skilled nursing care, and more ensure that patients can meet their goals as quickly as possible.

“These facilities are critical in the final outcome of how a patient does after orthopedic surgeries,” he said. “That’s why we partner with these different communities and partner with them. I’m just glad to be here with all these people to spread the message and information.”
