St. Mary’s Students Enjoy Annual Ride Your Bike to School Day

St-Marys-Students-Enjoy-Annual-Ride-Your-Bike-to-School-Day-2018_01On Friday, May 18th, a large number of students who attend St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point pedaled to school. Students were excited and many parents joined in on the school’s annual “Ride-your-bike-to-school Day.” The group traveled from The Lake County Fairgrounds to St. Mary’s were they were met at the school by many of their classmates who rode from other directions.

St. Mary’s 5th grader, Sofia Valdes said, “Riding to school with all my friends was amazing!” Her classmate Sammie Noren added, “It was good exercise too!” “We’re very grateful to Mike Wysocki from the city’s Emergency Management Association, Ed from Ed’s Bicycle Repair, and the nice folks at the Lake County Fairgrounds for helping us make this year’s event the best one yet,” said St. Mary’s principal, Tom Ruiz.
