Munster High School Shines at Indiana State Thespians Conference

Munster-High-School-Shines-at-Indiana-State-Thespians-Conference-2018 Members of the Munster High School Theater program, under the leadership of Auditorium Director Ray Palasz and theatre faculty Peggy Matanic, recently performed competitively at the Indiana Thespians State Conference at Franklin Central High school in Indianapolis this past weekend. The Indiana Thespians is the state-level organization for the Educational Theatre Association, which also sponsors the International Thespian Society.

Munster High School was recognized as Bronze Honor Troupe for their overall work as a theatre organization. Criteria include theatrical productions, public service, outreach, and participation at state and international level events.

Individual event rankings are as follows:

  • Maya Radjenovich earned an EXCELLENT in Solo Musical Theatre
  • Kelly Collins earned an EXCELLENT in Solo Musical Theatre
  • Ariel Shoriak earned an EXCELLENT in Solo Musical Theatre
  • Taylor Fishman earned an EXCELLENT in Monologues
  • Francis Hovland earned an EXCELLENT in Short Film

And the following students earned SUPERIOR rankings, which qualify them to compete at the International Thespians Festival in June.

Kelly Collins and Chloe Jancosek earned SUPERIOR in Duet Musical Theatre.
Chloe Jancosek earned a SUPERIOR in Solo Musical Theatre.
Sydney Hamill earned a SUPERIOR in Monologues.
