Pierce Students Learn about Beef

Pierce-Students-Learn-about-Beef-2017_01Maggie Daily from Indiana Beef Council was the guest speaker in Mrs. Lattanzi’s FACS class at Clifford Pierce Middle School. Students learned about beef from a baby calf’s birth to table. The strict guidelines the cattle farmers and the meat processing plants have to abide by. These rules make our meat safe for the consumer.

Just 25-30 grams of lean protein per meal help maintain strong, lean bodies build and replenish muscles, and when you feel more satisfied, you do not over eat. Maggie demonstrated how to prepare meat bought from the grocery store. She cooked pieces for all students to try.
