St. Mary’s Students Participate in Down Syndrome Buddy Walk

St-Marys-Students-Participate-in-Down-Syndrome-Buddy-Walk-2017For the third year in a row, students of Saint Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point went and participated in the NWI Buddy Walk to support children with Down Syndrome! Each year, the students have gone out to support team Cole-Man. Cole’s mom, Corinne, came to speak with the 6th graders about Cole and about Down Syndrome. After her talk, the students had the opportunity to sign up to be a part of the NWI Buddy Walk. Sixth grade teachers, Mrs. Kylie Fankhauser and Mrs. Sue Elinkowski were joined by students Gabriel Vivo, Emily Jen, Peyton Mori, and James Mullally. It was a great day for a walk to support Cole, his family, and all the other teams.
