Duneland-School-Corporation-Update-04-21-17_01Fundraising Success
The Chesterton High School Band program recently took part in a rather unconventional fundraising opportunity by hosting a Mattress Sale recently. While this type of event has been taking place across the country for more than a decade, this is the first event of its kind presented in the Duneland area, and the sale was a great success. This fundraiser with Custom Fundraising Solutions (CFS) was structured so that the CHS Parent Band Booster organization would receive a portion of the profits, and the students who directly participated in promotion of the sale would also be rewarded with individual cash profits. More than 80 mattresses were purchased at this one-day event. Earnings totalled $15,000 for the CHS Band Boosters and students. The next mattress sale is slated for early March 2018.
