Duneland-Schools-Update-02-24-17_01 Exploration Fair at Liberty Intermediate
Several Liberty Intermediate School (LIS) fifth grade students brought in Exploration Fair projects to display in the Media Center. This project involves student exploration of any topic in the areas of math, social studies, language arts, science, and fine arts. The student displays are set up in the reference area for all classes to view during the school day. Pictured is fifth grader Sydney Szabo whose project was about the acidity of different types of drinks.

Duneland-Schools-Update-02-24-17_02 Students celebrate Bright Futures week
Jackson Elementary students explored college, career, and citizenship readiness during "Bright Futures Week" recently with their counselor Elizabeth Martin. Pictured are second graders, left to right, Grace Miller, Cole Gilbert, Maia Gowan, Mace Redman, Emma Gilbert, Georgia Petersen and Seth Cardiff, who participated in various spirit days held throughout the week. Events included classroom lessons, daily TV announcements, trivia questions, prize drawings, and student led interviews with teachers. Many colleges and universities donated goodies such as pencils, pennants, buttons, stickers, and more, as prizes for students who answered trivia questions or who submitted their own college/career questions.
