Teacher Appreciation Week occurs on the first week of May every year. Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce and its’ members wanted to give teachers in Crown Point and Merrillville a memorable week by putting together snack trays to bring to the schools. On May 5th and 6th nearly 30 Chamber Members made donations for the teachers. Volunteers from these organizations came together to deliver the snack trays to teachers at 20 different schools.
Teachers also received a coupon book, including coupons from more than 30 local companies. Teacher Appreciation Week was kicked off by dropping off goodie bags to Principals at schools in the Crown Point and Merrillville school districts. Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce and its’ members thank teachers for all of their hard work.
