Chesterton High School’s radio station, WDSO-FM 88.3 is hosting its 25th Annual Radiothon Monday through Friday, April 27-May 1 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Radiothon is the time when listeners can make a contribution to support the station. WDSO members will be collecting pledges now through May 2nd. You can also stop by the station to make a pledge, call it in at 983-3777 or go to WDSO’s website to get a link to where you can make a pledge or request a song.
During the Radiothon, the following seniors will be on-air to collect pledges, play requested songs and conduct giveaways: Monday-Riley Deardurff; Tuesday-Sean Virden; Wednesday-Aubrey Christofersen; Thursday-C.J. Draves and Friday-Laura Hoover.
Please tune in and make a pledge or request a song at any time or when your favorite DJ’s are on-the-air.
Music requests will be taken each day between 6 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, most regular programming will be broadcast at their scheduled times. Supports can make a request by calling 983-3777 or going to WDSO’s website.
There will be giveaways featuring gift cards and certificates from local businesses during the Radiothon. A reminder that if you are listening to WDSO on the Internet, the station comes in slower than if you are listening on the radio and could affect when you call in during the giveaways.
