Film Series on Ancient Religions Coming to Calumet College of St. Joseph

rot1Three films, highlighting age-old beliefs and spiritual disciplines that still inspire people today, will be shown on three consecutive Mondays in October in Room 265 of Calumet College of St. Joseph.

The series will begin on Monday, October 13 with "Amongst White Clouds: Buddhist Hermit Masters of China's Zhongnam Mountains." "Lost Kingdoms of Africa: The Great Zimbabwe" will follow on October 20 and "The Inca: Secrets of the Ancestors" will conclude the series on October 27.

Sponsored by the Department of Liberal Arts and hosted by Dr. Valerie Pennanen and members of the HIST 496: History of Ancient Religions class, the film series is free and open to the public.

Each film will begin at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and an informal discussion will follow each film. Hope to see you there!
