IU Northwest Plans Career-Focused Events for Alumni, Community

rot1The Office of Alumni Relations at Indiana University Northwest, together with the IU Alumni Association and the Office of Career Services, has planned two career-focused events designed to help professionals succeed.

Life after IU: “Cha Ching – A Lesson in Financial Literacy”

12 to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23

Phil Schuman is the director of Student Financial Literacy at Indiana University. Crunching numbers can be overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to create a budget for yourself. Learn how to make the most of your current and/or future income.

Life after IU: “Linked In Insider”
John W. Anderson Library Conference Center, Room 105
5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22

Emili Sperling is the Alumni Programs Officer for Student and Recent Graduate Enrichment at Indiana University. In her presentation, she will teach attendees how to harness the power of professional networking in the online world. Those involved with non-profit organizations will also learn how to identify and seek out potential volunteers for their organizations and endeavors.
