The Marram School Will Open in Chesterton this Fall!

marram-school-logoThe Marram School, a new, private K-12 school, will open its doors in Chesterton this fall. The school will foster a self-directed learning community that celebrates individual differences and encourages students to pursue their interests by being the creators of their education. Meetings for prospective families will be held Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5 at 7 p.m. in the Library Service Center at 100 West Indiana Avenue in Chesterton.

By following the core beliefs of personal responsibility, democracy and compassion, teachers at The Marram School will empower students to take their own paths and balance their interests with the responsibility of growing in a community. To promote peaceful and purposeful lives, the school will offer its students classes and activities covering five foundational roots for life: academics, work, service, democracy and wellness.

The Marram School will serve homeschool families and those considering homeschooling who would like the support of a caring and vibrant community. The school will be located at 135 Lincoln Avenue in the Methodist Activity Center in Chesterton, but it is not affiliated with the church. Please visit www.TheMarramSchool.org or find the school on Facebook for more information. E-mail info@TheMarramSchool.org with questions or to RSVP for the August 4 or 5 meetings.
