CCSJ Holds Elementary and High School Art Teachers Exhibit

Jania-man-readingLocal schools are blessed to have talented teachers, and art departments are a prime example. Disavowing the infamous axiom, “Those who can do. Those who can’t teach,” art teachers not only open new worlds of creativity to their students, but are true artists in their own right. Calumet College of St. Joseph is proud to exhibit their works in the Elementary and High School Teachers Art Exhibit. Mediums include painting, drawing, sculpture, three-dimensional art, mixed medium and photography. Some of the participating teachers are from Bishop Noll Institute, Crown Point High School, Hammond High School, Hebron High School, and Marquette High School.

The opening reception will be held in the Bernard Gallery at Calumet College of St. Joseph on Thursday, June 12 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. The general public is welcome to attend. Join us as we celebrate these teachers and their many talents. The exhibit may be viewed through June 29th.
